Nurturing a Love for Learning at Beru

At Beru, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive early years environment where every child feels safe, valued, and a true sense of belonging. Our learning spaces promote curiosity, collaboration, and confident exploration.

Guided by the Beru Early Years Framework (BEYF) and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our play-based approach encourages children to learn through inquiry, discovery, and meaningful interactions. We believe every child is a capable, curious learner who thrives when supported in exploring their unique interests.

Developed in collaboration with leading experts in early childhood education, our holistic programme builds strong academic foundations while supporting children’s social and emotional development.

"The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn't need to be reformed -- it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child, choose an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions."

FAQ

Early education matters because early interventions shapes a child's development. At birth, 300 billion brain neurons grow into 1000 trillion connections by age three. Children who start behind often stay behind, thus making early education essential for future success. We here at Beru have programmes designed from 6 months all the way upto 6 years.
We support families and children to settle into Beru by giving them 3 weeks while we are also understanding the child's interests and strengths. During this time, children build relationships with our facilitators, peers and the new environment around them which inturn helps them to come into Beru happy.
An open ended environment does not necessarily account for lack of structure. It allows children to deeply engage with materials, ask questions, explore ideas at their own pace. This approach fosters a love for learning while also encouraging critical thinking, problem solving and self directed learning.
Reggio Emilia Approach is child centered and grounded in the belief that children are capable and curious learners. Children are seen as active participants in their learning journey and the educators act as facilitators guiding exploration based on children's interests.
Absolutely. Our curriculum and approach ensures that children are not only academically ready but also emotionally and socially prepared to transition to a grade school. We achieve this through focussing on skills like problem solving, collaboration, resilience and self regulation.
